Petrina visualized the data from her concurrent capture using color, length, position, and shape. She also broke up the process into time chunks going from left to right, with colored lines corresponding to the sub-activities of the process, such as planning and prepping. Each of the five horizontal dashes represents 25 minutes, and the length of a color on a dash represents the amount of time spent relative to the 25 minutes.
