Eileen’s design awareness question was, “When am I feeling positive, neutral, or negative?” and more specifically exploring general emotional patterns she feels in her design process. She condensed the emotion data she captured in her third postcard to see broader patterns by categorizing the original seven emotion codes into three broad categories of positive, neutral, or negative emotions. The postcard displays the proportion of each design stage that was positive, neutral, or negative, through the three shades of orange. It was interesting for her to see the patterns of positive emotions—for example, she was proportionally the happiest in the “finalize” stage.
