IB’s design awareness questions were, “How often do I take a break in my design process?” and “What do I do/feel during this time?” Her new activity was designing this very postcard. The card reads from left to right, top to bottom. The black symbols represent what part of her design process she was on, and the colors represent what the break activity was. She noticed she was watching a TV show almost every time, which was not surprising to her. She also tracked how she felt using the up and down arrows; arrows above the colors represent times when she felt inspired while taking a break, and arrows below represent times where she felt frustrated. See the back of the postcard for the key and other details!
