Katia’s design awareness question was, “How much of the design process needs to be known ahead of time to result in a product that I am proud of?” Her activity for this postcard was creating a smoothie. The size of the blender represents how much thought she had in advance on what ingredients she was going to use or add during a step. How full the blender is represents the amount of time that has passed, and the stars represent her satisfaction with the smoothie at three different taste-test moments.
