“Identifying Design Behaviors” introduces learners to capturing design activities using qualitative coding, a method of data categorization. The exercise, Qualitative Coding of an Oreo Video, asks the learners to view a 15-minute Oreo making video to collect data on the baker’s steps and behaviors through qualitative coding (observe and categorize). The learner will then interpret the data collected from the exercise to create their Qualitative Coding postcard representation.
